Films x Head of Motion x James Andrew Cook

I was head of Motion at Empire Design and worked on hundreds of features, TV spots, Trailers, and Teasers.
I built, developed, mentored, and headed up a team in London and New York for several years producing Graphic and Motion Design, 2D and 3D animation, 3D modeling, VFX, compositing, branding, title sequences, and idents. Phew!
Trailers aren’t just edits with captions on top. Sometimes we’d get footage a year before the film is wrapped, before any VFX or branding is done, and we’d consider and design all that. Titles, Logo design and animations, VFX, Rotoscoping, Illustration, 2D, 3D and motion graphics is all part of the gig.
Working for leading film agencies and a wide range of international and US clients on marketing and film advertising campaigns we won several awards in the industry - the highest of which is a Golden Trailer.
After leaving Empire I have worked for many Trailer and Titles houses including, Intermission, Creative Partnership, Hello Charlie, Creative Nuts, Create, Dream Factory, Momoco, Solid State and Texture.
